Well, Interweb is just a slang term for the Internet, described by entries on certain online dictionary and encyclopedia websites currently ranking better than me for the term as an attempt to be comedic and humourous.

This week I finally started the first moves to try improve the front part of AlltheInterweb to reflect recent changes to the Interweb.
These changes will appear when they appear, and made to try make this website more simple and tidier.
The existing front end was first unleashed at some point in 2017 after making the switch from my favoured Netobjects Fusion to Mobirise web design software, and incorporated links to parts of AlltheInterweb that have recently had to be discontinued.
The new version of the website will still use Mobirise, just to a lesser extent, in order to make more use of this WordPress part of the website you’re on now.

I’ve officially moved the old “Web Design Chit Chat” forum I had into being part of the forums on this blog due to issues resulting from my webhosts upgrade of Perl versions causing the original to no longer work, and it being too much of a pain in the butt getting it going again along with many other special interest forums I’ve run on the same forum software over the years.

I’ve been kind of busy making tweaks to the site over this period of time, mostly trying to make long awaited additions & changes to the web directory that I’d been putting off for too long.
I’ve retired some categories, added some new ones in their place (and some just new), and added a shedload of new links to the directory.

I’ve also repaired & updated the UK Politics + US Politics sections of the web directory as well as made additions to the News + UK Jobs sections of the directory.
I’ve tweaked the blog to enable donations via either Paypal or Cryptocurrency if you want to give a token thanks if you find anything of use to you on the AlltheInterweb site.
I’ve also been tinkering with the look of these blogs, and tinkering with assorted new WordPress plug-ins.
Back in March 2014 I created a Food & Drink messageboard forum section on AlltheInterweb.
Having left it a bit untouched the last couple of years, on Sunday (21st January 2018) I set about re-building it to make it look a bit more appealing than the previous design.
There’s still a bit more to do, but AlltheInterweb Food is hopefully going to start looking and getting better for people looking for or wanting to share their recipes on the forum.
There’s even a new Search Facility on the site.
This part of our site is ideal for promoting your website via banner / link exchange by posting it to one of our grids, and is based on the Million Dollar Homepage, a Pixel Advertising website created by Alex Tew a number of years back.
In order to place your advert on the website……
1) Create an account so you can create & edit your advert(s)
2) Click the Get Pixels link at the top of the page.
3) Click the “Buy Pixels” button associated with the particular grid you want to place your advert on
4) Click & Drag on the area you want to place your advertising image on, the area you select doesn’t have to be the size of your image (e.g. standard 768×90, 468×60, 300×300, 300×250 advertising banners), as the script that makes this site work will scale it down to the size of the grid area you selected automatically upon completion of your order…………. Then click “Continue”
5) Select or Upload your image
6) Fill out the information requested to link the advertising image back to your website.
7) After that it’s pretty self explainatory… any payments will be processed via Paypal, or if you selected the Freebie Pixels grid, select one of our advertising banners from the Link to Us page by copy & pasting the HTML code into the webpage you’re linking your banner advert to.
8) After your advert gets activated, it will be displayed on our website for 90 days and will be shown via the following URLs on AlltheInterweb & our sister websites……
